Maranatha TV is a 24-hour, Christian, Bible-based TV Channel, broadcasting Christian programs around the world.
Our aim is to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to teach sound Bible Doctrine to every home in the world. Maranatha TV is run by a team of dedicated Christian professionals whose vision is to reach the world with the pure, unadulterated Gospel, before the Rapture of the Church. Even in the so-called Christian states of North-East India, there are hundreds of thousands of people, especially youth, who never attend church nor have they ever professed faith in Jesus Christ. Social evils are rampant and there is a need now like never before to reach these people with the Gospel.
We broadcast the only message that can give hope and transform a sinner-the message of the Gospel of the grace of God. Also, there is a great need for teaching of sound doctrine to Christians in these places because many cults have made inroads to these places and churches are crumbling under the onslaught of these false teachers and false teachings. Maranatha TV is dedicated to broadcasting the sermons and teachings of God’s servants who preach “the whole counsel of God’ and sound doctrine that edifies the Church and leads them into all truth.
We believe in fulfilling the Great Commission given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ in Mathew 28:19-20.The mission work includes not only personal witnessing but also sending out preacher boys, most of whom have been trained in our Bible College.Their work is to win souls, plant Churches, disciple new converts and be witnesses to their own people. The Lord has given us the privilege of supporting Pastors in the States of Assam,Arunachal Pradesh,West Bengal,Uttar Pradesh,Haryana,Gujarat,Karnataka,Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Chhattisgarh. These preacher boys have planted many churches in the above mentioned States of India.
The Lord has given grace to continue the work of evangelism and church planting in these areas as the preacher boys reach the unreached villages in the rural areas of the above mentioned States with the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Over the last few years we have been engaged in training men from various States in India for a period of two years before sending them back as preacher boys to their own places. So far we have trained and sent preacher boys to Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Orissa, Karnataka,Telangana,Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Our prayer is that we would be able to send men to every state in India with the pure words of God in the native languages of those respective states, preaching the unadulterated Gospel of the grace of God and teaching sound doctrine. We also try to provide some basic needs of our preacher boys in order for them to be more effective in their service to our Lord.
It is very difficult for some of our Preachers and their congregations to buy Bibles as most of them work as laborers and live on daily wages. The cost of each Bible exceeds the daily wage they receive and, in most cases, buying a Bible becomes very difficult. The Lord has helped us to provide some of them with Bibles in their language for which these little flocks are ever grateful.
Most of the congregations in our fellowship meet each week in thatched roofed huts and are in great need of a solid structure as heat and rain make it very difficult for them to sit through the services. The Lord enabled us to build brick-walled church buildings in place of shoddy, thatched-roofed huts for some of the churches planted by our Pastors.
Earlier the preachers would go to preach in different villages in remote areas, by walk. Sometimes they would have to walk through swamps and insect and snake infested areas. We are grateful to God for helping us to provide some of our preachers with bicycles, mopeds and motor bikes for them to commute from village to village to preach the gospel.
Our desire is to give resources to our Pastors that would help them to become partially self supportive so that they may concentrate more on the task of reaching the lost with the gospel. One way of doing this would be to give them water buffaloes which would sustain the entire family as milk, curd, cottage cheese, ghee, buttermilk and butter would provide a good part of the family’s diet. Moreover they could also become a source of income as these products could be sold for a good price in the villages. Again, we were able, by God's grace, to give buffaloes to some of our Pastors.
..but in everything by prayer and supplication...let your requests be made known unto God
